It's a hard rubber heel so I guess you could however the arch of the boot is not pliable and I'm sure it would not feel right or even look good....this is a fashion boot....looks great with jeans and even casual skirts....Timberland does sell boots with lower heels....check out their web-site because in my honest opinion...if you cut the heel on this boot, you will ruin it.
